Outlook: The Panthers were co-district champions in 1997 but failed to even win a district game last season. The basement dwelling Panthers lost their last 6 games of the season after opening the season at 3-1. With 25 seniors gone, the offense need to stepped up to the plate. The first priority is to fill in the void at QB which Josh Woodard left. Junior FB Anthony Krieg did exceptionally well for an offense that only score 53 points in their last six games. Krieg gained 701 yards on 145 carries and scored 5 touchdowns while recieving 179 yards. Also with all-district potential is TE Brandon Latko. WR/S Anderson Smith can also be a passing threat for opponents. The offensive line is bulked up with T Dylan Gandy and G Ryan Elliot. The Panther defensive was once a strong unit under former coach Mike Honeycutt. This year's squad must replace DT Eric Tyronne, and LB Justin Golson. The defensive will rely on LB Kerwyn Gage, who had 55 tackles, and DT Derek Parker, who had 34 tackles. DE Donald Pleasent and DT Jeremy Calahan will help bolster the line. Smith was the star however with 44 tackles, 2 ints, and a fumble recovery.

Strength: The Panthers bruising fullback Krieg ran over opponents as a sophomore and the Panthers have high expectations for him. If he continues to grind it out, that opens the way for TE Latko, who average 8.6 yards per catch last season, and Smith who runs a 4.5.

Weakness: The quarterback position. Phillip Moss has first crack at the starting job. In scrimmage games against Chruchill and MacArthur, the Panthers look good defensive wise but offensive slipped by in the victories.
