November 12-13, 1999

OFFENSE: Brandon Williams, Georgetown
Rusehd for 292 yards and scored 3 touchdowns in leading The Eagles to a 28-14 bi-district playoff win over New Braunfels.

DEFENSE: Brian White, Westlake
Made a huge fourth and one that killed McNeil's playoffs lives.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Joey Lovoi, Georgetown
Made 4/4 PATs in Georgetown's win over the Unicorns.

September 2-4, 1999

OFFENSE: Vontez Duff, Copperas Cove
Duff ran all over Westwood and as expected gained over 200 yards and scored twice. Duff also went 2-2 in passing including a 22 yard pass to Jason Mathenia for the 'Dogs second score.

DEFENSE: The Seguin Defense
The Matadors "D" totally dominated the game against Madison. They gave up only one completion for 16 yards and a mere 49 yards rushing on 29 attempts. Six total first downs in wining a shutout 49-0.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Luis Aguero, Leander
Returned the opening kick 96 yards in route to leading the Lions to 52-7 thrashing of Lampasas.

September 10, 1999

OFFENSE: Anthony Krieg, Pflugerville
Krieg ran for 186 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns in leading the Panthers to their first win of the season.

DEFENSE: Michael Brock, Leander
Brock made a crucial interception that sealed the victory for the Lions in the waning seconds of a 24-21 win over Crockett.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Brian Vera, Westwood
Vera return a 52 yard punt for a score that put the game away for the Warriors in their 22-12 win over Bowie. Vera also recovered a fumble that broke loose a 6-6 game.

September 16-17, 1999

OFFENSE: Brian Bulte, McNeil
Bulte lead the undefeated Mavericks over LBJ with his 195 receiving yards on six catches. He scored 2 TDs and setup another McNeil touchdown.

DEFENSE: Jared Moss, Bowie
Moss intercepted a pass and returned it 29 yards for a score. His interception put the game out of reach in the waning seconds of the first half in Bowie's 44-28 win over Reagan.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Landon Smith, Georgetown
He downed a punt on the one yard line of Hays. His special teams tatics killed the Rebels ralley in Georgetown's 24-14 win.

September 24-25, 1999

OFFENSE: Quniton Smith, Cedar Park
Smith ran for 257 yards against Salado and leads the undefeated Timberwolves in rushing this year.

DEFENSE: Derek Parker, Pflugerville
Lead the defense charge that shutdown Bowie's offense and kept the marijuana infested Cooper out of the end zone.

SPECIAL TEAMS: David Cavazos, Bowie
He blocked a Pflugerville punt for a safety, scoring Bowie's only points of the night.

September 30-October 2, 1999

OFFENSE: Matt Davis, Leander
Davis was a one man wrecking crew in pleasing the homecoming crowd by scoring 4 TDs and rushing for 225 yards against Pflugerville.

DEFENSE: Erik Smart, Westlake
Picked off two key Waco passes in the end zone to give the Chaps a bosst in their 14-6 win.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Danielle McLean, Waco
Block a punt that setup up a drive for the Lions very late in the game. However, the offense failed to score and lost to Westlake 14-6.

Honorable mention: Khoi Nguyen, Pflugerville
Nguyen blocked a Leander punt in their JV team's win.

October 7-8, 1999

OFFENSE: Eric Sultemeirer, New Bruanfels
Had 6 receptions for 162 yards and scored 3 TDS inclduing a 71 yard pass for the game’s for score.

DEFENSE: George Nobels, Bowie
With one minute in a 0-0 game, Crockett had first and goal on the 5 yard line but Nobels led a goal line stance. On 4th down on the one, Crockett decided to go for it, instead of kicking a field goal to win. Bowie went on to win 8-0 in overtime.

SPEICAL TEAMS: Marcos Carranco, Georgetown
Return a game winning kickoff return 87 yards in a 17-10 win over Westwood

October 14-15, 1999

OFF: Nathenial Foreman, Copperas Cove
Completed 9 of 16 passes for 201 yards and 2 TDs in leading Cove to a 27-6 win over Ellison.

DEFENSE: Bobby Hart, Waco
Return an interception 49 yards for the game’s first score. The Lions defeated Killeen 17-8

SPECIAL TEAMS: Anthony Krieg, Pflugerville
0.9 seconds remained in the game as Pflugerville tried to attempt a 51-yard field goal to tie the game at 17. The Warriors blocked the field goal but a Westwood defender caught the ball in mid air and tossed it over his shoulder and Krieg recovered the ball in the end zone for the Panthers, who won 20-17.

October 21-22, 1999

OFFENSE: Brendan Dewan, Westlake
Ran for 122 yards on 6 carries, including a 56 yarder on his first carry and filled in for injured WR Reid Brees by catching 5 passes for 42 yards and 1 TD.

DEFENSE: Darrell Catlin, Waco
Forced 3 first half fumbles that resulted in a safety for Waco, touchdown for Waco, and stripped Cove of a touchdown in an upset win over Copperas Cove.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Clay Coleman, New Braunfels
Return the second half kickoff in New Bruanfels’ 28-14 win over Austin High.

October 29, 1999

OFFENSE: Jimmy Eierdam, McNeil
Completed 6 of 10 passes for 172 yards and 2 TDs iin leading McNeil to a win over Westwood.

DEFENSE: Clay Coleman, New Braunfels
Intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards to set up the Unicorns only touchdown against Westlake.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Alexis Cooper, Bowie
Return a punt 55 yards for a TD against Seguin. Cooper also scored 2 more TDs in a 21-18 win.

November 4-5, 1999

OFFENSE: Jeff Bevill, Austin High
Due to two QB injuries, the safety led the Maroons to two touchdown scoring drives in the fourth quarter to spoil Bowie's football season. He convereted a key fourth and four play by funning 21 yards to the 5 yard line.

DEFENSE: Danielle McLean, Waco
Picked off a Leander pass that broke the game wide open for the Waco Lions ass whooping of Leander. (42-7)

SPECIAL TEAMS: Beau Powers, Bryan
Kicked a game winning 21 yard field goal over Pflugerville for Bryan's 3rd straight district title. This game feature 3 blocked field goals.
