Outlook: Coach Rod Hess got the hell out of Westwood as fast as he could. Last season could be Westwood's last playoff appearance for quite some while. This team is in trouble. Their only weapon was muti-talented O.J. McClintock. McClintock led the Warriors in passing, recieving, rushing, and kickoff return yardage. The Warriors were credited with the fastest defense in central Texas last season but gave up as much yardage as McClintock was gaining for them. Westwood managed to get into the playoffs despite the poor efforts from other players beside McClintock. Hoping to going into the finer lines of the past QB Westwood that has included Jason McKinley, David Farman, and McClintock is junior Evan Wiatrck. Also competing for the QB spot is sophomore Brent Cleveland. The Warriors need to supply an offense that they knew couldn't compete in real games. In games against Coppres Cove, Bryan, Georgetown, and Westlake, the Warriors coulnd't rely on McClintock to win big games. The offense also lost RB Mike Garlow and DB/WR Eric Rice to graduation. The man getting the carries this season is Will Matthews. The offensive line that didn't block last season will be bolstered up with Walter Badgett, Cooper Rogers, Russel Nelson, Justin McAdams, and Jeff Cisneros. Defensively, the Warriors lost hard hitting Robert Mitchell and life saver LB Richard Oliver, who won the Round Rock game. Basketball star Justin Lopez hopes to replace them and second team all district DL Chuck Black is the lone star up front.

Strength: The offensive line. The line averages 251 lbs and are expected to produce wholes for Matthews to hit. Wiatrack played sparingly behind QB Justin Combs as the backup last season but Spradlin is hopeful he can produce the air attack Westwood is known for and that they lacked all last season.
Weakness: The defense. This defense gets run all over every year. Whether it's Victor Ike and his 8 TDs to Brett Robin, Franklin Taylor, Vontez Duff, and Jomo Rose, the Warriors give up big yardage. That has got to stop if Westwood even thinks about winning a district game this season.
