Who: NEW BRAUNFELS UNICORNS at CROCKETT COUGARS
When/Where: 7:00 p.m. at Burger Stadium
Records: Unicorns 5-4 (3-1 in district), Cougars 4-5 (2-2 in district)
Against Common Opponents
in 1999:New Braunfels beat Seguin 35-16, beat Bowie 36-15, beat Austin High 28-14, lost to Westlake 22-9; Crockett beat Seguin 35-18, lost to Bowie 8-0 (OT), beat Austin High 20-0, lost to Westlake 32-6
Preview: The Unicorns are already in the playoffs and are the #2 seed in Division II. Crockett on the other hand has an outside shot. They have beat the Unicorns by 9 points or have the almighty god give the Austin High Morons a victory over Bowie. It’s best if the Cougars stingy defense that gives up 235.3 yards shutdown New Braunfels’ wide open offense that racks up 295.7 yards a game. Offensively for Crockett, they need QB Anton Mackey and his crew of running backs to gain as much yards as they can. Last week, the tandem of Mackey, RB Raphael Sterns, and Dee Turner, the Coogs ran for 246 yards. LB Antoine Simpson is having a spectacular season on defense. WR Eric Sultemereir of New Braunfels was covered by Westlake like no other. QB Andy Schmid has to look to Clay Coleman who also plays defense, returns kicks and kicks them, to rely on. RB Daniel Strange is having an all district year by rushing last week for 115 yards. Last season, Crockett caused a 3 way tie for second place by upsetting the Unicorns 18-15.
Who: GEORGETOWN EAGLES at McNEIL MAVERICKS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium
Records: Eagles 4-5 (3-1 in district), Mavericks 7-2 (3-1 in district)
Against Common Opponents in 1999: Georgetown beat Hays, beat Westwood 17-14, beat Round Rock 28-14, beat Bryan 17-10, lost to Pflugerville 20-7; McNeil beat Hays, beat Westwood 24-13, beat Round Rock 25-7, lost to Bryan 34-14, beat Pflugerville 21-7
Preview: This game is a crucial one. Bryan or Pflugerville can relax after this game is over. The winner of this game goes to the playoffs while the other one relies on the heart of the Bryan and Pflguerville game. If McNeil wins, they go to the playoffs for the first time and bring along with them automatically Pflugerville by virtue of the Panthers tie breaking win over the Eagles. If Georgetown wins, they bring along with them Bryan. The Eagles were shocked last week by Pflugerville 20-7. RB Brandon Williams didn’t get much time to do damage. The centex leading rusher only had 63 yards on 20 carries. The Eagles have a weak defense that lets team roam all over them. The Eagles are the only team that has allowed over 1,000 yards passing total this year. McNeil meanwhile have the arm of QB Jimmy Eierdam to guide them. Along with WR Brian Bulte (38-805 yards 9 TDs), they have running in Paul Gray and Kyle Rogers. McNeil averages 292.8 yards of offense and gives up just under 200 yards a game. The Mavs are out to avenge last year’s humiliating 40-3 loss.

Who: AUSTIN HIGH MAROONS at BOWIE BULLDOGS Preview: Horrible. That’s the only word that can describe Bowie. Yet, they are headed to the playoffs for the 9th time in 10 years. Bowie can clinched, wait, will clinched the playoffs because they will beat Austin High and theirs is no way Crockett can beat New Braunfels by 9 points with their weak offense. Last year, Austin High got torched by Jason Howard for two TDs and 88 yards with less than 10 carries and in one quarter. Howard also stiffed arm a little bitch for the Maroons to rembered by. Bowie won 48-14. The year before, Victor Ike nearly ran for 300 yards on Halloween. Austin High’s defense is weak and pathethic. The Bulldogs have the worst defense too but not as bad as Austin has always been. The Maroons average 287 this year, while Bowie gives up 307.4. Offensivley Bowie is 17th out of 18 5A Schools, while Austin is 18th. Two of the worst offenses are headed up. Led by the marijuana infestedRB Alexis Cooper’s 723 yards & 7 TDs, the Bulldogs managed only 204.8. He has more fumbles than TDs this year. The ratio is about 3:1. The QB is still a problem and McNeil or Bryan will have fun killing them next week. Austin High meanwhile should have been thinking about basketball season back in August. Because as predicted, QB Zach Meyer never lived up to any expectations. The Morons average 169 yards of offense.

Preview: Why even preview this game? Seguin is not going anywhere and Westlake already won district. Another one bites the dust Seguin? Last year, Westlake won 49-7. “Move along people, nothing to see here”—Officer Brady, South Park Cop
Who: WESTWOOD WARRIORS at ROUND ROCK DRAGONS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium
Records: Warriors 4-5 (0-4 in district) Dragons 1-8 (0-4 in district),
Against Common Opponents in 1999: Westwood beat Bowie 22-12, lost to Georgetown 17-14, lost to Pflugerville 20-17, lost to Bryan 26-22, lost to McNeil 24-13; Round Rock beat Bowie 14-6, lost to Georgetown 28-14, lost to Pflugerville 24-14, lost to Bryan 33-32, lost to McNeil 24-7
Preview: Another pointless game. Why even do this one? Both teams are 0-4 in district and have fluke seasons. Last year, ,b>LB Richard Oliver saved the Warriors bitch asses by intercepting a Cris Love pass in the red zone to give the Warriors a playoff birth. Barley. The following week, Westlake beat their asses 65-7. This year RB Will Matthews has 996 yards while his buddy Ryan Long gained 700 yards in 9 games. The problem is that THEY CAN’T EXECUTE WORTH SHIT! Quarterback was never a weak position for Westwood but this season it has. Coach Rod Hess, got the hell out when he could. He saw it coming. No more Jason McKingley, David Farman, and especially no O.J. McClintock to pull them through. Round Rock hasn’t won a damn game since stealing one from Bowie on opening day. 8 straight losses. No offense from WR Jon Peoples, who has like a 0.09 yard average after the catch. The running game was fine until RB Walter Earl came back. Yeah, I said Walter, you little bitch from Round Rock. This game is also for the battle of the bell. It’s more like battle for who the hell is not going to be the basement dwellers.
Who: BRYAN VIKINGS at PFLUGERVILLE PANTHERS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Kuempel Stadium
Records: Vikings 5-4 (3-1 in district), Panthers 5-4 (3-1 in district)
Against Common Opponents in 1998: Bryan beat McNeil 34-14, lost to Georgetown 17-10, beat Westwood 26-22, beat Round Rock 33-32; Pflugerville lost to McNeil 21-7, beat Georgetown 20-7, beat Westwood 20-17, beat Round Rock 25-7,
Preview: The winner of this key matchup is headed to the playoffs. The loser can only hope that the team they need from McNeil-Geoegetown loss. The Panthers were playing good clock control last week and need to repeat it again to stop Bryan. The Panthers defense held their stand last week. The defense gives up 256.8 yards while the crap ass offense led by RB Anthony Kreig gains only 254 yards. The need the little bitch up front OL Dylan “Candy Ass” Gandy to block for the big queer QB Phillip Moss. Bryan meanwhile squeak by Round Rock by a point. The defense is the heart and sole of this team. The Vikes hold opponents to a respectable 261 while the offense came to life in district by gaining just as much as Pflugerville. Bryan can enter the playoffs with a win OR a McNeil loss. Pflugerville can enter with a win OR a Georgetown loss to McNeil. Last year, the Vikings won 23-13.
Who: LEANDER LIONS at WACO LIONS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Paul Tyson Stadium
Records: Lions 4-5 (1-3 in district), Lions 6-3 (3-1 in district)
Against Common Opponents in 1998: Leander lost to Copperas Cove 42-10, lost to Ellison 47-7, lost to Temple 34-14, beat Killeen 22-20; Waco beat Copperas Cove 24-7, beat Ellison 20-7, lost to Temple 10-7, beat Killeen 15-7
Preview: Leander is done like dinner. The bowling ball himself has been contained? Who would have thunk District 8-5A would shutdown Matt Davis? I for sure hell did. So did every team in 8-5A that kept his fat ass under 100 yards in every game. Waco’s defense will have a feast on the imposter Lions. Waco’s defense can hold anybody. They don’t get enough credit. Danielle McLean and Darrell Catlin led the pack by containing offense under 200 yards a game. #2 defense in the area. Offensively, Waco can only churn up 250 yards but against teams like Leander, it will go over 300 yards even without RB DeMarcus Carter. Waco whipped Leander last year 44-7 in Leander. They gained 412 yards, 365 on the ground. Leander only gained 183 total.
Who: COPPERAS COVE at KILLEEN KANGAROOS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Leo Buckley Stadium
Records: Bulldogs 8-1 (3-1 in district), Kangaroos 2-7 (0-4 in district)
Against Common Opponents in 1999: Copperas Cove beat Leander 42-10, lost to Waco 24-7, beat Ellison 27-6, beat Temple 14-7; Killeen lost to Leander 22-20, lost to Waco 15-7, lost Ellison 38-7, lost to Temple 28-6
Preview: Playoff implications seem a lot clearer for Cove and Waco. They play the two worst teams in district. The Bulldogs #2 offense led by QB Nathenial Foreman (1020 yards passing, 11 TDs) and RB Vontex Duff (1043 yards 10 TDs). Cove can clinched with a win. Killeen meanwhile played their hearts out last week but came up short. Sorry but you guys are dead last and winless. RB Nick Sessions is the lone birght star this year. Last year, Cove manhandle them 58-0. Did I already say the ‘Roos are done like dinner. Yes, I have. Now there done like dessert.
Who: ELLISON EAGLES at TEMPLE WILDCATS
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Wildcat Stadium
Records: Eagles 4-5 (2-2 in district), Wildcats 6-3 (3-1 in district)
Against Common Opponents in 1999: Ellison beat Killeen 38-16, lost to
Copperas Cove 27-6, beat Leander 47-7, lost to Waco 20-7; Temple beat Killeen 28-6, lost to Copperas Cove 14-7, beat Leander 34-14, beat Waco 10-7
Preview: The winner can go to the playoffs with a win if the prediction of blowouts came through as usual. Temple lost 14-7 last week to Cove while Ellison was predicted to lose 20-7 and lost 20-7. Yeah me! Last year, Ellison won 8-3. How will things change? Ellison gains 268, Temple 297. Defense, Ellison gives up 275, Temple 248. Neither team has a decent runner but Ellison seems to rotate guys. Passing Temple has the edge with QB Dustin Pleasant. Defense is the key to this game and how many mistakes each team makes. QB Jackie Brown has better stats for Ellison but he many options to throw or run but Temple has a cold defense.

Who: CEDAR PARK TIMBERWOLVES vs PLANO WEST
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. at Paul Tyson Stadium in Waco
Records: Timberwovles 9-0, Plano West N/A
Against
Common Opponents in 1999: None
Preview: This game will test Cedar Park. If a perfect season is what they want then they must face another team full of juniors. Plano West just opened up and is having a fine season. They are coming out of the Plano area which have the Wildcats and Plano East Panthers, both are powerhouse teams. Cedar Park racks up 441 yards of offense led by sophomore RB Quinton Smith and his 19 TDs. Julian and Erick Packheiser have been doing fine job blocking up front for the explosive offense. On the other side of the ball, The Timberwovles give up just 110 yards. The range of teams are from JV to 2A varsity squads that includes, district champs Jarrell, who refused to play with Cedar Park in a normal
